Summer Thyme Sangria Will Ease You Right Into the Weekend!
Refreshing Summer Thyme Sangria will ease you right into the weekend. I mean shoes off, feet up, summer breeze blowing in your hair. Are you with me? This light and fruity sipper is gentle enough for brunch. It’s perfect to share with friends. Pretty enough for the front porch yet begs for the backyard! Use your favorite fruits of the season with a bottle of nice crispy white wine. Adding a few other flavor enhancers like vodka, simple syrup, and a sprig or two of lemony thyme (or your favorite fresh herb) add complexity.

Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso {Starbucks Copycat}
Me: Oooo new iced coffee flavors. I think I’ll have an Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso please. Startbuck’s drive thru speaker: “There’s a nationwide shortage of oat milk… ….and brown sugar.” Me: What on earth?? Could this be true and if so, why?!! So I ordered the Iced Chocolate Almond Milk Shaken Espresso instead. It was good, but no where near as tasty as the Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso.

Negroni Cocktail
The Negroni Cocktail is classically made with equal parts Gin, Italian Sweet Vermouth and Compari (or similar Italian bitter like Cappelletti). A Negroni is stirred over ice (not shaken). And served with a twist or slice of orange. It’s well known for its lovely color and perhaps less known for it’s colorful history.

Peach Mojito {with Ginger Simple Syrup}
This Peach Mojito {with Ginger Simple Syrup} is the 7th Mojito recipe on Lemony Thyme and might be my new favorite. Nothing sings summer quite like fresh juicy peaches. Pairing the sweet peaches with ginger simple syrup introduces a lovely depth of flavor you’ll really enjoy. I LOVE Mojitos!!

Hurricane Cocktail a New Orleans Classic
The Hurricane Cocktail is a New Orleans classic, made famous at Pat O’Brien’s courtyard bar. This cocktail dates back to the end of WWII when whiskey was in tight supply and liquor vendors insisted bar owners buy multiple cases of rum to each case of whiskey.

The Painkiller Cocktail
Happy National Rum Day!! What better way to celebrate than with a refreshing summery cocktail. The Painkiller Cocktail is a twist on Piña Colada flavors with dark rum, pineapple, orange and coconut finished with freshly grated nutmeg on top. A classic Tiki Drink every mixologist should have in their playbook.

How To Make Whipped Coffee (Dalgona)
Am I the last person standing who (before today) hadn’t tried Whipped Coffee?? Arguably, this may be the hottest trend to come out of covid cooking. While everyone’s favorite coffee shops were struggling through the early months of the pandemic, caffeine enthusiasts took it upon themselves to whip up these easy-on-the-eyes frothy beverages. I personally have been mesmerized by gorgeous Instagram photos of this coffee concoction for months.

Rosemary Watermelon Juice {Share the Love}
Rosemary Watermelon Juice. As we head into summer and backyard BBQ’s, there’s a good chance we’ll find ourselves with half a watermelon taking up way too much space in the Frigidaire. I did. Water-melon. Water. Flavored water. Do you see where I’m headed?

Cucumber Basil Martini
I ordered a Cucumber Basil Martini at the Mayan Kitchen restaurant in Chattanooga and knew instantly I’d have to recreate it at home.
