Lamb Gyro {with Tzatziki Sauce}
Lamb Gyro with Tzatziki Sauce. One of my most favorite dishes to order from a Greek restaurant. There’s something so distinctive and special about the flavors of the heavenly sliced meat topped with the cool Tzatziki Sauce. If you love Gyros like I do then you know exactly what I’m talking about. This recipe brings all that together.

Vietnamese Beef Pho
Vietnamese Beef Pho. Let me just say this about that. I don’t think I’ve ever delivered so much flavor with so little effort. When I got home from work I assembled everything I needed, put the broth and seasoning on to simmer, all in about 5 minutes. I did also pop our beef filet into the freezer, which later helped with getting a nice thin slice.

Veal Marsala
I love this dish. Veal Marsala is a favorite Italian dish.

Taco Salad {with Doritos}
Flash backwards to January, NFL Playoffs were underway and I was itching to host a Super Bowl Party. I decided to make this Taco Salad with Doritos recipe, in honor of my favorite Super Bowl Commercials, and share it on Lemony Thyme the week before the Big Game. That was the plan. Right up until our home team, the Falcons, got beat in the last round.

Spiral Cut Hot Dog {Think Outside the Bun}
Last year in honor of National Hot Dog Day, my work family and I celebrated the summertime-favorite in style. We made Spiral Cut Hot Dogs and topped them with everything from Baked Beans to Mac ‘n Cheese to Peach Salsa. If the toppings are your favorite part of a hot dog, then the Spiral Cut Hot Dog is for you. Here are Step by Step Instructions for making a Spiral Cut Hot Dog or you can watch our VIDEO of how to make a “Delaney Dog.”

Classic Beef Stew
It’s really hard to top a nice big bowl of Classic Beef Stew. Slow braised pieces of beef and root vegetables, cooked in a rich beef broth until tender. Served in big bowls with crusty bread. I’m not sure there’s much more to say about that. I’ll let the pictures speak to you. Take your time, I’m in no hurry. When you’re ready, our recipe method is below.

Thai Beef Salad {with Fresh Herbs}
Thai Beef Salad. What a lovely way to enjoy a good piece of beef. I know most recipes call for using lean flank steak. And while I’m sure that’s very nice on this salad, on the rare occasion that we have steak, I prefer the most tender cut I can find. And that would be a filet. Grilled to medium-rare. Sliced nice and thin. It was that thought alone that inspired this recipe post. Every bite of this Thai Beef Salad is a flavor explosion.

Moussaka {Greek Eggplant Lasagna}
Moussaka. The best Moussaka I’ve ever had was in ‘a diner.’ The kind of diner you find in CT or NY, that are open all night, where you can order fried eggs, t-bone steaks, pancakes, cocktails, Moussaka (or hundreds of other dishes)…any time of day. Every time I visit my sister we have at least one meal at a diner, doesn’t matter which one because they’re all good, and most often I order Moussaka.

Spaghetti & Meatball Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Call me crazy, but when I have leftover Spaghetti & Meatballs I’m looking for bread and butter so I can make a sandwich. Picked this up as a kid and it has stuck with me ever since. National Grilled Cheese Month seemed like the perfect time to share this little secret of mine. Welcome the Spaghetti & Meatball Grilled Cheese Sandwich with fresh mozzarella & Parmesan cheese on a pesto chibatta roll. Ha!

Kefta Mkaouara {Moroccan Spicy Meatball & Tomato Tagine with Poached Eggs}
I wanted to share one more Winter Thyme Spice Exploration dish before I mentally checked into Spring. When I discovered Kefta Mkaouara, a traditional Moroccan tagine dish, it offered all the right components. Lovely spices, fresh herbs, wonderfully seasoned mini-meatballs, and poached eggs all slow cooked in glorious tomato and olive sauce in our new Tagine. Beautiful.
