Crab Cake Balls {with Remoulade Sauce}
Crab Cake Balls with Remoulade Sauce. Everything we love about a Crab Cake rolled into bite-sized nuggets. A perfect little appetizer or addition to your party spreads or grazing boards.

Vietnamese Banh Mi Chicken Sandwich
Recreating a Vietnamese Banh Mi Chicken Sandwich was long over due. My kid first introduced me to Vietnamese fare. Pho. Coffee. Bakeries. And Banh Mi. Each worthy of their own post. Our Vietnamese Beef Pho post continues to be one of my favorites. Vietnamese Iced Coffee was incorporated into a great day spent with one of my favorite peeps, as we explored various iced coffees.

Chicken Marsala Meatballs for National Meatball Day!
We shall make Chicken Marsala Meatballs. Because TODAY is National Meatball Day! With the way I love meatballs, this food holiday is deserving of a celebration. A Meatball Palooza if you will. I have so many meatball recipes to share (and several I’ve yet to create) that we’ll need days to properly honor those perfectly packaged bundles of love. I shall call this celebration March Meatball Madness and share a meatball recipe every day for the remainder of the month.

Malfatti {Spinach & Ricotta Dumplings}
Continuing on my classic Italian recipe exploration I discovered Malfatti, a true Italian comfort food. These spinach and ricotta ‘dumplings’ are soft and tender and practically melt in your mouth.
-
Sausage & Mushroom Ragù
Sausage & Mushroom Ragù. This dish is incredibly satisfying. The mild Italian ground sausage is slow cooked with mushrooms, red wine and aromatics until the flavors melt together like your favorite comfort food.

National Chili Day Recipe Roundup
February 25th is National Chili Day and that means a recipe roundup is in order! Right smack in the middle of Winter, just when cabin fever is getting real and we’re all longing for spring. It’s the perfect chance to break out a new Chili recipe to excite your taste buds. The Chili Police could have great fun with this recipe roundup and argue that none of these recipes are indeed Chili. For the purpose of conveying a collection of soups/stews that are seasoned with aromatics and spices most akin to Chili – we’re going to roll with it.

Pasta alla Norma {Eggplant Pasta}
Pasta alla Norma is an Italian pasta and eggplant dish with roots in the ancient port city of Catania, Sicily. My husband’s ancestors also have roots in Catania! Lucky for me it’s where we visited on a dream vacation a few years back.

Seafood Newburg and a Stroll Down Memory Lane
This Seafood Newburg recipe originated at Woodbound Inn. It’s like a stroll down memory lane. Home of one of my many dream jobs. It was one of several recipes that my sister uncovered in a misplaced recipe box. I could hardly wait to recreate it, and now that I have I can hardly wait to make it again. I’m certain the family is completely on board with that.

Crab Stuffed Flounder {with Peri Peri Cream Sauce}
We shall have Crab Stuffed Flounder {with Peri Peri Cream Sauce}. I’m forever running to the grocery store to pick up a few last minute ingredients that inevitably turn into a buggy full. You know this drill. Other than to enforce an Eat Out of the Fridge/Pantry Week (which we do out of necessity every other month or so) I can’t seem to break this.

Steak & Potato Soup
Steak & Potato Soup was a sentimental entry, since it came from my husband Nick. With winter ragging across most of the country, I posed this question on Facebook: What is your favorite soup? I received a nice variety of responses, which included some of my favorite soups like Broccoli Cheddar and Italian Wedding and others that I had yet to recreate at home.
