Maryland Crab Dip
We made this Maryland Crab Dip for last year’s Super Bowl game in honor of the Baltimore Ravens. It went great with our Cheesy Garlic & Herb Pull-Apart Bread made from a nice sourdough loaf in honor of the San Francisco 49ers. When I posted the pull apart bread recipe on Facebook last night, the crowd went wild…..for the Maryland Crab Dip :) So I got up this morning and made it just for you.

Pecan-Crusted Trout
The trout was so fresh and beautiful at the seafood counter today that I couldn’t resist, even without a plan for how to prepare it. Pan sautéed trout is what first came to mind. I have a weakness for this wonderfully mild fish, especially when it’s sautéed in butter. To kick it up I decided on Pecan-Crusted Trout, which fit right in with our low-carb eating.

Crab Cakes {with Remoulade Sauce}
When life gives you jumbo lump crab meat…. I’d like to say that I did great research to find the most incredible Crab Cake recipe or that I make Crab Cakes on a regular basis and this is my original recipe. But instead I found this wonderful recipe right under my nose.

Low-Country Boil Skewers
I adore Low-Country Boils. Having said that I can count on one hand how many times I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying them. When I have, it has been at a neighborhood gathering or a backyard get together where there was a crowd to feed. Today I came up with a fun way to prepare it for two (or for twenty-two).

Sushi Stack
I must admit I’m quite proud of my Sushi Stack. Not only was it delicious, but it looks so pretty in a picture. And we all know how important that is :) Every time I visit Whole Foods I look forward to winding my way through the store, ultimately reaching the seafood counter. They don’t always have sushi grade tuna but on this day they did. What a huge treat and such a delicacy.

Coquilles Saint-Jacques
Coquilles Saint-Jacques. It’s a bit tricky to describe how incredibly rich and utterly amazing this dish is. But I must try. It’s an absolute favorite of ours, reserved for very special occasions. Or when we think we deserve it :)

Sage Brown Butter Shrimp Scampi
Sage Brown Butter seemed like a natural way to build this Shrimp Scampi dish. It’s well noted on the pages of Lemony Thyme that Sage Brown Butter is something I’m passionate about. The best way to describe it…’sensual.’ Definition ‘sen-su-al’ adjective: “relating to or consisting in the gratification of the senses or the indulgence of appetite.”

Baked Stuffed Shrimp
Baked Stuffed Shrimp. We called them an appetizer and only made five. Wished we had more. They were fabulous. Extraordinarily divine.

Crab Stuffed Mushrooms
Crab Stuffed Mushrooms For our last several family gatherings we’ve decided our dinner menu would be a vast array of appetizers. We all, kids through Grammy and Granddaddy, love finger foods and this way no one is a slave to the kitchen. As each family comes through the door the assortment grows and a new round of grazing ensues. It’s fabulous.

Parmesan Crusted Homemade Fish Sticks
Parmesan Crusted Homemade Fish Sticks I grew up in a very small New England town in southern New Hampshire. There was a large Catholic population which meant every Friday night was fish night in most households. And while some of my friends grumbled, I begged to be invited for dinner in hopes they’d be serving fish sticks and French fries. Loved them. Please tell me I’m not alone on this one.
