Rosemary & Cracked Black Pepper Roast Chicken
When you cook a whole chicken every week like we do, you are always searching for new recipe inspiration. We literally sit around talking about our favorite flavor pairings. “Rosemary & Cracked Black Pepper” leaped out of my mouth with a level of certainty that was not to be questioned. Honey Ginger Vinaigrette {with Shallot & Cilantro}
We’re so fortunate to have a wonderful Olive Oil & Vinegar Bar just minutes from home. Every time I walk into this store I’m treated to a new flavor pairing. My most recent addition to my collection (I think I’m up to about 10 different vinegar flavors) is Honey Ginger White Balsamic. This was the flavor base for my Honey Ginger Vinaigrette {with Shallot & Cilantro}. The shallot and cilantro offered a wonderful flavor balance to the slightly sweet honey ginger white balsamic. This dressing was beautiful with our Lunch Counter Style Chef’s Salad. You might also enjoy… Homemade Russian Dressing Homemade Caesar Dressing Bloody Mary Salad Dressing

Lunch Counter Style Chef’s Salad
We had a good old fashioned Lunch Counter Style Chef’s Salad for dinner last night. It had been years since I’ve had one. I can say with certainty that there’s a reason the Chef’s Salad was on most menus for decades. It’s delicious and a completely satisfying meal.

It went great with our Cheesy Garlic & Herb Pull-Apart Bread made from a nice sourdough loaf in honor of the San Francisco 49ers. When I posted the pull apart bread recipe on Facebook last night, the crowd went wild…..for the Maryland Crab Dip :) So I got up this morning and made it just for you.

Miser Wot {with Baked Eggs}
Shelby and I recently explored Ethiopia. More precisely we explored her kitchen. We set out on a Sunday adventure that delivered us to Desta Ethiopian Kitchen, a highly favored restaurant here in Atlanta. We sampled many, many dishes and decided our favorite of all was the red lentil stew or Miser Wot.
