Apache Bread Dip
We fell in love with Apache Bread Dip from the moment we were first introduced. What’s not to love about a hot ham & cheese dip served in a crusty bread bowl. If you’re lucky enough to score an Italian loaf in the shape of a football, while you might as well serve this dip on Game Day!!

Potato Leek Soup {with Crispy Sage}
Potato Leek Soup with Crispy Sage is creamy and delicious. With basic ingredients and minimum hands on cooking time, this soup has been added to my comfort food favorites list.

Salami & Cheese Chips
Cheese and salami slices are easily transformed into a snack chip. Just a minute or two in the microwave and you’ll be enjoying low carb ‘chips’ that are sturdy enough for dipping. Salami & Cheese Chips are a great addition to any appetizer spread.

Muffuletta Sandwich
Last spring Shelby and I flew to New Orleans. For business. Aaaannnnd a girl’s getaway. To say we had a blast is an understatement. Before we left home we each made a must-see/do list of what we wanted to experience while visiting The Big Easy. A trip to Central Grocery Co. for a Muffuletta was near the top of my list.

Marinara Sauce {with Fresh Tomatoes}
I have been on a Marinara Sauce kick these past couple of weeks. I call it a kick because I’m still a bit shocked that we are becoming quite the homesteaders. Well no we didn’t grow these tomatoes, but we did roast them, turn them into sauce and freeze them for the winter. That’s a long way from opening up a jar of our favorite sauce.

Welcome Home Muffins
I made Welcome Home Muffins for my dear friend and co-worker Sabina. She has arrived home after having been overseas caring for her mom. I’m not sure there is anything more personal than caring for a parent. We lovingly follow in their footsteps until it’s time to venture out on our own. Then we look over our shoulder for their approval as we find our way. Often the road leads us back home.

Roasted Sweet Potato & Butternut Squash {with Crispy Sage & Bacon}
I tried to publish this recipe last night but I was struggling and grasping for words. Not that Roasted Sweet Potato & Butternut Squash {with Crispy Sage & Bacon} is complicated or difficult to explain, it’s just that I made it for some friends of mine who frankly have been to hell and back over the past six weeks. Preparing this dish evoked emotion, something I feel has been lacking as of late in my cooking and subsequent blog posts.

Bacon, Egg & Cheese Flatbread Pizza
The things you dream of while laying in bed waiting for the first dog to stir. Naan Flatbread is so versatile and delicious. My favorite way to use it is as pizza crust. Just add your favorite toppings and bake. On this morning we turned naan into Bacon, Egg & Cheese Flatbread Pizza. Got two thumbs up for this one. Felt a bit guilty accepting praises when it took little to no effort but I got over that ;)

Loaded Wedge Salad
Flipping through the pages of this month’s Food Network Magazine and nodding out loud while I acknowledge their feature article on The Wedge Salad. No matter how you serve it, the crisp cool crunch of iceberg lettuce underneath savory toppings is simply hard to beat.

Roasted Veggie & White Bean Chowder
Hanging on to every fresh produce summer moment over here on Lemony Thyme. I’m calling this soup Roasted Veggie & White Bean Chowder because it has a creaminess about it and chowders are amazing. The beautiful thing is the creamy came from the white beans not cream or butter. That puts this soup squarely in our Healthy Choices category.
