Crispy Fried Shrimp {six ways}
As a kid who grew up eating frozen fish sticks at least once a week, and loving them I might add….imagine my delight when I was introduced to frozen battered shrimp. Oh my word. What a treat. Well….that was then, and these from scratch Crispy Fried Shrimp are definitely NOW.

Buffalo Shrimp
We were gifted 7 pounds of fresh-off-the-boat Georgia shrimp a month or two back (thanks to my mom & dad in-law). I froze them in one pound packs so they would thaw quickly when we had a shrimp hankering. On this particular day, I couldn’t get enough of these Buffalo Shrimp. They were too tasty not to share.

Tomato & Cheese Fondue
My first experience with fondue was in the mid to late 70s while visiting New York City. Mom took us to a trendy new restaurant called The Melting Pot. Fondue was the hottest craze to hit the restaurant scene. We gleefully dipped breads, meats, and seafood into broths and cheeses. As a kid this might have been the coolest dining experience in my entire 12 year life.

I uttered the words “I have an abundance of blueberries” the other day and oh my word….you got on to me. I promise you not a single blueberry was left unturned or uneaten. The majority of them found their way into these awe-mazing Blueberry Pecan Crumble Bars. Mercy.

Sweet Potato Praline Cake {Share the Love}
This Sweet Potato Praline Cake is a combination of our favorite Praline Banana Nut Muffins and heavenly Sweet Potato Casserole with Brown Sugar & Pecans. I debated back and forth on what to name this coffee cake. The cake itself is sweet, yet in a subtle way and oh so moist. The praline topping is amazing. Definitely reminiscent of a favorite Thanksgiving side dish. I thought I’d let these pictures do most of the talking. Enjoy!

Loaded Potato Soup
As I stepped out of my car I was greeted by the smell of bacon cooking. I walked through the door and found a sack full of fresh from the garden potatoes on the counter. Loaded Potato Soup was about to be born.

Flatbread Crackers {in a Variety of Flavors}
The Baking Gods gave us Flatbread Crackers. And they were good. And a whole lot easier than rolling, cutting and baking individual crackers. So much so, I have made four different flavors in two days just so I could be sure it was as easy as I’m saying it is. That was a bad sentence but I hope you get the point.

Homemade Blondies {Feeling the Love}
I logged onto my computer this morning and was greeted by 85 new Facebook friends. Whoa! Those of us who use Facebook to promote our blogs have been feeling a little bewildered lately. Facebook has implemented new algorithms that ultimately reduce the number of people that see our posts (typically only 1%…yikes). The way to fix that, at least in their eyes, is to pay to “Promote” our posts.

Blueberry Coffee Cake
Growing up, this Blueberry Coffee Cake was the quintessential coffee cake in our home. We lived in blueberry country. Early on my grandfather Boppy grew the most gorgeous cultured blueberries. They were so sweet and big and juicy. Later we relied on wild blueberries which bordered tree lines and paths throughout our property. While it took a bit longer to fill our baskets, the reward was well worth it. The reward…was my sister Sarah making this heavenly Blueberry Coffee Cake.
