Caprese Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Caprese Grilled Cheese Sandwich. We had to do it. You know we’ve got basil growing faster than a speeding bullet. Add a ball of fresh mozzarella able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. And an Italian bread getting eaten faster than a locomotive…I must act quickly.

Italian Stuffed Mushrooms
I have always loved mushrooms. Raw. Cooked. Stuffed. In Stuffing. In fact, my very first (and only…to date) contribution to a cook book, was a little piece on Mushrooms. Mind you I was 13 and my culinary skills were….non-existent. I plan to share more about this fabulous family cookbook in the near future, but for now I’ll focus on these Italian Stuffed Mushrooms.

Guacamole Deviled Eggs {with Crispy Bacon}
Guacamole Deviled Eggs with Crispy Bacon. One week to go before we complete our first year of ‘food blogging.’ A term I hesitated to use for most of this year. On one hand it was hard to put myself in that category, with so many very talented writers, recipe creators, and photography wizards. And on the other hand, I had always thought of a blog as a personal diary of sorts, something I couldn’t envision Lemony Thyme becoming last June. Fresh Veggie Nachos {Sundays with Shelby}
Fresh Veggie Nachos {Gluten Free}. I love my kid. I know. We all do (love our kids that is). Baked Buffalo Chicken Meatballs
Chicken Wing shortage? Now that would be a ‘fowl play’ just two days before Game Time. It is estimated that American’s will eat 1.23 billion chicken wings this Super Bowl weekend or an average of 4 wings per person. There’s no question we LOVE our Super Bowl food, so much so that it has become the 2nd largest eating holiday, after Thanksgiving. While I think the chicken wing shortage story has been refuted by the National Chicken Council, let me offer up a Chicken Wing alternative just in case. Baked Buffalo Chicken Meatballs.

Cowboy Caviar & A Country Christmas Party
Whipped up a batch of Cowboy Caviar in honor of tonight’s Country Christmas themed Annual Company Party. I can not wait. While we work (and play) hard all throughout the year, the Christmas Party is a chance to spend an evening with my second family and their spouses. And inevitably make memories that will last us until next year’s party :) Did I mention, I can not wait!
